Gallup police offer a free program to help people prepare for police testing

The free Fall Into the Force Recruiting Prep Program from the Gallup Police Department is open to anyone interested in a career in law enforcement. Registration opens Saturday, Sept. 26, and closes Saturday, Oct. 3. The program begins after registration closes. Sessions meet once a week, from 6 to 7 a.m. or from 4 to 5 p.m.

The Gallup Police Department is offering a free preparation program for people curious about a career in law enforcement, including those unsure they could pass the police testing process.

In weekly sessions, senior officers, recruits, detectives and SWAT personnel will cover physical readiness, mock interviews, command presence, report writing, reading comprehension and math, according to the department's post and poster.

The Fall Into the Force Recruiting Prep Program meets once a week, from 6 to 7 a.m. or from 4 to 5 p.m., and begins after registration closes. Registered participants will receive a full schedule of meeting dates, session topics and preparation recommendations.
