Court compliance program is filling sandbags at Fire Station 1

The Court Compliance Program is filling sandbags at Fire Station 1, and residents who need them can stop by, Gallup Municipal Court said.

There is a limit of five bags per vehicle. The court canceled Friday's volunteer clean-up because of the rainy and muddy conditions in and around the city, and sent its compliance participants to the station instead, asking anyone who wanted to join them to be there from 7 a.m.

The court asked residents to prepare now, and repeated its own reminder about flood water: if you see flowing water, go around, don't drown.
