The City of Gallup is taking applications for a procurement specialist, a full-time position in the Purchasing Department that reports to the purchasing director.
The job covers the procurement of goods and services under applicable law, and involves accounting, computer work and other purchasing duties. The city lists the position as classification W09 and non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Applicants need a high school diploma or GED, and either an associate degree in business administration, business management, accounting or a closely related field, or three years of progressively responsible experience in purchasing, procurement or accounting procedures. They must also pass a skills aptitude test in word processing and spreadsheets, and hold a valid driver's license from their state of residence that meets the city's insurability requirements.
The city did not state a salary, and the posting carries no closing date.
