Crownpoint Service Unit starts automated appointment reminder calls and texts
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, patients with appointments at the Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Thoreau Health Station, and Pueblo Pintado Health Center may receive an automated call or text about one day before their appointment. To get the reminders, patients need their current telephone and mobile numbers on file with Patient Registration. Patients at the Crownpoint Healthcare Facility, Thoreau Health Station, and Pueblo Pintado Health Center may get an automated call or text a day before their appointment, beginning Wednesday.
The Crownpoint Service Unit announced the reminder service in an Indian Health Service public service announcement dated Sept. 8, which Crownpoint Chapter shared. The reminders begin Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.
Patients who already receive automated reminder calls may be given the option during the call to enroll in text message reminders.
To receive reminders, patients need to make sure their current telephone and mobile numbers are on file with Patient Registration. Anyone whose contact information has recently changed, or who does not want the automated calls or texts, can contact Patient Registration at their local facility.
