Bridge 8085 on Superman Canyon Road is closed for replacement after it was damaged last week, McKinley County said.
The bridge was damaged early on Aug. 21 when a semi truck became stuck on it, McKinley County Fire Rescue said. Superman Canyon Road was closed between Hasler Valley Road and Historic 66 while a tow company was called to remove the truck.
The bridge was already scheduled to be replaced this fall. Once replacement begins it could be out for up to four months, the county said.
The county did not say when the work will start or what route drivers should use in the meantime.
