Water is out at Twin Lakes and other communities as utility repairs are prolonged

Water is out at Twin Lakes and other communities across the Navajo Nation, while NTUA says repairs are prolonged because crews are working multiple outages at once.

The utility listed water outages at Twin Lakes, East Mexican Springs, Coyote Canyon, Deer Springs, China Springs, Rocksprings, Tseyatoh, Naschitti, Buffalo Springs. It also listed St Michaels, in the Apache Sub Div behind Dennys, and a stretch it names as Cool Runnings.

The list runs the width of the Nation, and also names communities much farther from Gallup, including Navajo Mountain, Dennehotso.

Power outages are listed at Oljato, Dilkon, Indian Wells, Birdsprings, White Cone, Teesto, Sebi, NR15.

Electric and water crews are engaged in repair work, the utility said, and repairs are scheduled for the day, but because of multiple outages they are prolonged for all areas. The estimated duration of outages across the region remains uncertain.
