Navajo police dispatch lines are back on in Crownpoint, and emergency calls return to the regular numbers
Dispatch phone lines and power have been restored for the Navajo Police Department Crownpoint District. Callers should discontinue the alternate dispatch number and use the regular emergency dispatch numbers, (505) 786-2050/2051. The main lines had been out since 6:29 p.m. on Sept. 18 because of a power outage the department attributed to the weather.

Dispatch phone lines and power have been restored for the Navajo Police Department Crownpoint District, and emergency calls go back to the regular dispatch numbers, (505) 786-2050/2051.
The lines are now operating, the department said in a notice at 10:18 p.m. on Sept. 18, and it asked the public to discontinue the use of the district's alternate dispatch phone number.
The main dispatch lines had been down since a notice issued at 6:29 p.m. the same day, when the department reported a power outage at the district that it attributed to the weather conditions. Emergencies were routed to a temporary number, (928) 637-3694, while the lines were out.
