A 15-crew team is repairing the N30 washout at Mexican Springs, and the route stays closed

N30 remains closed until further notice at Mexican Springs, where a 15-crew team from the Navajo Nation Division of Transportation is working around the clock, the Navajo Police Department said.

The crews are repairing N30 and working to fill culverts. The department's senior public information officer was given a firsthand look at the washout site and spent time with the team on the ground to see its progress, the department said.

Police asked people to use caution, not to enter damaged areas that have been restricted or appear unstable, and to watch for any possible debris in the area.

The department thanked the community for its patience while NDOT crews work to repair N30, and asked drivers to stay alert and slow down in the area.
