Actor Lou Diamond Phillips appeared at Fire Rock Navajo Casino in Church Rock on Friday, signing autographs and taking part in a meet and greet, the Navajo Police Department said.
Phillips starred as Jim Chee, a Navajo police officer, in the 1991 film "The Dark Wind," which was filmed on the Navajo Nation. One of the photographs he signed at the casino was a still of himself in that role.
The department's Special Operations Bureau casino unit provided public-safety coordination for the visit alongside Fire Rock Casino security.
