Gallup-McKinley students build mock food trucks with help from real owners

Students are creating and developing their own food truck concepts and building mock businesses from the ground up. Local business owners joined a discussion panel on the ins and outs of running a business. Some brought their own food trucks and served students lunch.

Business students are building their own food trucks on paper, the district said.

The 3rd Annual Food Truck Experience is underway, with students creating and developing their own food truck concepts, putting their business skills and creativity to work as they build their mock businesses from the ground up.

Local business owners joined the students for a discussion panel, sharing their experiences and giving students a firsthand look at the ins and outs of running a business, according to the district. Some brought their own food trucks and served lunch.
