The City of Gallup is hiring a water production tech lead to help run the city's water systems.
The full-time job is based at 1910 Warehouse Lane and starts at $21.83 an hour. The lead oversees inspections, maintenance and repairs for city water and groundwater systems, and daily operations for wells, pumps, SCADA, transmission lines and storage tanks.
The city asks for a high school diploma or GED, four years of experience in water operations and two years in a technical lead role. Applicants need a valid New Mexico Level 2 Water Production Certification, or reciprocity within 90 days, and must reach Level III certification within a year. A valid driver's license and a clean background check are required.
