Navajo police mark 10 years since Officer Leander Frank's death

The Navajo Police Department posted a remembrance of Officer Leander Frank on the tenth anniversary of his death. Frank served 13 years with the department and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.

The Navajo Police Department marked 10 years Sunday since the death of Officer Leander Frank, whose end of watch it gave as Aug. 30, 2016.

Frank served 13 years with the department, which answers to the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety, and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. The department described him as a devoted father and friend.

His family, friends and fellow officers continue to carry on his memory and celebrate his life, the department said.
