The Gallup City Council called a special meeting for Sept. 2 to discuss limited personnel matters concerning the city manager in closed session, according to the meeting agenda.

The agenda set the meeting for 11 a.m. in the council chambers at Gallup City Hall, 110 West Aztec Avenue.

After roll call and the Pledge of Allegiance, the agenda called for a motion to adjourn into closed session to discuss limited personnel matters concerning the city manager, pursuant to the New Mexico Open Meetings Act.

The council was then to reconvene, certify for the record the matters discussed during the closed session, and take up a single action item, listed on the agenda as action regarding matters discussed during the closed session.

The agenda lists Frank Chiapetti as city manager.

The agenda was posted at a place freely accessible to the public 72 hours in advance of the meeting, as the Open Meetings Act requires.
