An anti-poverty nonprofit with an office on East Coal Avenue is inviting the public in to hear about its work, gallupARTS said.
ATD Fourth World USA is an international anti-poverty nonprofit, and its Gallup program is inviting everyone to learn more about its approach to solving the problem of systemic poverty at a meet-and-greet.
The invitation runs it from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 18 at 405 East Coal Ave., and says refreshments will be served. It describes the session as a policy and advocacy meet-n-greet covering housing, multidimensional poverty, changing the narrator, and upcoming training programs and webinars.
gallupARTS said it recently collaborated with ATD Fourth World on a Youth Digital Storytelling project to amplify young people's voices on the issue of education. People who want to go are asked to RSVP to mbroxton@atdfourthworld-usa.org.
