McKinley County sheriff's deputies worked a single-vehicle crash where County Road 5 meets Historic Highway 66 early on Aug. 21, the sheriff's office said.

A semi came to rest on the bridge there. County Road 5 would stay closed until the truck could be removed, the office said, and tow crews were expected in the morning.

Photographs the office posted show the tractor stopped beneath the overpass and the trailer lying across the narrow bridge deck, its rear axles at the edge, with a tow truck's lights on the road beyond.
