Alana Bradley is sworn in as Gallup's patrol sergeant

Chief Erin Toadlena-Pablo presided over the swearing-in Friday morning. Bradley, a 14-year veteran of the department, was Officer of the Year in 2025 and 2026.

Gallup Police Chief Erin Toadlena-Pablo presided over a swearing-in ceremony Friday morning for newly promoted Sgt. Alana Bradley.

Bradley has served 14 years with the department and holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from New Mexico State University. She completed the department's examination process to become its sole patrol sergeant in 2026.

Her experience includes narcotics and criminal investigations. She is the department's only child-seat inspector and trainer certified through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, serves as a field training officer, and was named Officer of the Year in both 2025 and 2026.

Family and friends joined the department in celebrating the promotion, the department said.
